Simultaneous
Localization And Mapping
Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) is a problem of simultaneous localization and mapping in arbitrary space without any prior information. In order to recognize the position of the robot, pre-written map information is essential, and precisely measured position information is essential for accurate map creation. This technology solves the problem of localization and mapping which are highly dependent on each other by carrying out both at the same time.
In this laboratory, image sensor and LiDAR sensor are mainly used for SLAM algorithm. We are studying both algorithms that use each sensor independently and algorithms that use the advantages and disadvantages of both sensors in a translated manner.
